Electronic Medical Record Viewer
VHCE aimed to offer health centers a centralized management tool of their business processes, focusing on the design, construction and implementation of a software (Electronic Medical Record Viewer) to allow communication between health centers and hospitals. The experimental pilot was developed between Sierrallana Hospital of Torrelavega and the primary care centers of Torrelavega and Potes.
Main activities
The project target was addressed from the CIC research team by carrying out the following activities:
- The design and creation of a corporate database in which the information selected for exchange is stored, allowing a bidirectional transfer of data between Primary Care and Specialized Care.
- Implementation of the ability to visualize and share the primary care information of the Health Centers of Torrelavega and Liébana (whose main source is OMI-AP), and specialized care (whose main source is HIS).
- The study and definition of a data model, as well as the selection and loading operations necessary for the requested information to be structured and accessible to the corresponding application or applications.
- The development of a user interface (Information System) that allows access in a structured way to the available clinical information of the selected patient, as well as the identification and authentication of the user.
- The development of an interface for the inserting of Emergency Reports.
