Advanced Modules for the Management of Heterogeneous Information Systems Based on Artificial Intelligence
OBJECTIVES
MAIA´s goal is to create and implement advanced modules for the efficient and secure integration of artificial intelligence (AI) models into business applications and business processes. These include operations, production, IT systems, administrative `processes, communication networks and energy systems. Using a modular approach, ad hoc processes can be optimized and automated, enabling users to efficiently assign and manage heterogeneous information systems and resources in an assisted manner.
To this end, MAIA identifies the processes that need to be automated, AI integration with existing systems, data privacy and security – especially when dealing with large volumes of data – the integrity and reliability of data and the associated ethical and legal aspects. By applying innovative strategies from the fields of software engineering, machine learning, data transmission and storage, modular and scalable architectures, MAIA will lead the transformative shift in how companies adopt and benefit from AI in their processes.
ACTIVITIES
The project´s objectives will be addressed by the CIC research team by the following means:
- Research and development of new AI models for data analysis and the improvement of system monitoring and automation.
- Research and development of new techniques for integrating Large Language Models to improve access to functional and technical information.
- Research and development of advanced technologies for distributed data storage and
- computing.
FUNDING
This project is co-funded by the Government of Cantabria (Spain) through SODERCAN and its 2024 call for Major Industrial Competitiveness Projects, Line I: R&D Projects.
