Tecnatom and CIC Sign a Collaboration Agreement for the Installation of Nuclear Plant Monitoring Systems Based on IDboxRT

Tecnatom, leader in instrumentation and control in the nuclear sector and CIC Consulting Informático, software development business and creator of the novel new monitoring software in real time IDboxRT, have signed a collaboration agreement for the distribution and integration of this technology as the centerpiece for supervisory technology in nuclear power plants, in Spain and abroad.

Tecnatom, with more than 50 years experience in the nuclear sector has carried out numerous international projects in the field of instrumentation and control. In recent years they have delivered multiple simulators and control centers for customers the world over. Tecnatom has also participated in modernization projects for nuclear power plants, as well as the main processing computer for the Cofrentes nuclear installation in Valencia.  

The IDboxRT platform will be a valuable addition to the technical support that Tecnatom offers their clients in plant operations, improved safety and efficiency.  Moreover, CIC has experience and know-how in monitoring critical processes in large electrical networks and power plants for clients like Iberdrola, Viesgo, Robert Bosch, Ferroatlántica, Bridgestone and Gestagua, among others.

CIC, with its IDboxRT software, is also present in other nuclear power plants in Spain such as the ones in Garoña, Vandellós, Almaraz and Trillo and in projects in Russia.  IDboxRT carries out information integration work coming from heterogeneous systems and processes with the sole purpose of giving a complete and integrated vision to the organization, thereby, optimizing the decision making process.

IDboxRT stands out for the processing speed of large volumes of information (big data), a modern user interface based on web technology where usability and performance, an architecture based on distributed and decoupled components that allow for a great flexibility in the configurations and great ease of expandability which allows the user to extend the functionality of the system generating operational autonomy.

 The agreement between Tecnatom and CIC, both leaders in their respective sectors, offer better guarantees for the quick development of nuclear plant monitoring projects.
